Please support me as I take an amazing journey. The Out of the Darkness Overnight Experience is a 20-mile walk over the course of one night. Net proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, education, and awareness programs – both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.

If you know me, Angie, at all as an actual person or just a name on your computer screen, you know that I've gone through so much these last few years (actually my entire life). And if you've actually paid attention to any of my 'stories' then you would know that I've suffered from depression more than 1 time in my life. If you really know my "true story" then you also know that my 12 year old daughter, has recently been medically diagnosed as depressed also.

Depression is more than just feeling bad. It's more than just not wanting to get out of bed. It's a feeling hard & horrible to explain. Days & days go on as you wonder why are you actually here... and without finding any real reason, you literally feel like giving up and sometimes hurting yourself. Luckily some of us are able to fight the feeling, luckily some of us are strong enough to seek help & realize there's a problem, but unfortunately there's some of us that don't know what to do and lose the "battle". That's why I'm taking a stand! I truly believe in this cause and I want to help anyone that I can. This is an important step for me, for my daughter, for all my kids... I've always been a 'fighter' and I've been told I'm a "SURVIVOR" but until I actually reach this goal of $1000 for this organization and walk 20 miles in a single night... I know I will finally feel like I've accomplished something in myself to be proud of!! :c)
