Dear Family and Friends,

On June 21 - 22, 2008 I will gather with thousands of people from around the country who have been touched by suicide and depression. We will walk 20 miles through Seattle in the course of one night. This is my third time participating in this incredible, important, and meaningful event.

I will walk 20 miles through the night with over 1000 survivors of suicide. I walk in memory and in honor of my dearest friend, Alexandra Brucker, who took her life on April 22, 2006. I walk because I miss Alex every day. I walk because I don't want anyone else to lose someone they love to suicide. I walk to break the silence and stigma surrounding depression and suicide. I walk because I believe that depression and suicide are preventable. I walk because Alex isn't here to walk with me. I walk because I have to.

Please support me as I take an amazing journey. Net proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, education and awareness programs - both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.

I have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $10,000 this year. Thank you for helping me reach this goal.
