Walking with Gabe: welcome to our team site!

Our team is named in honor of my boyfriend Gabriel Josue Galindez-Sanchez. On August 7, 2007 Gabe died by suicide in our home. Gabe was a beautiful person suffering silently. Caring, loving and supportive he was always there to help someone in need even if he was unable to help himself. Gabe suffered from bipolar disorder, as well as, an alcohol and drug addiction. He sought help, but was unable to afford the treatment that he desperately needed. He took other people's pain away adding more weight to his own. Gabe had the biggest heart in the world and I am proud to say he is a part of my life and will never be forgotten. Kendall, Holly, Kiersten and I are participating in this walk to raise suicide awareness so that in the future those like Gabe will be able to recieve the help that they deserve. I miss Gabe everyday. We are walking in memory and honor of him. We will never let go... Te queremos...
