Team Captain Tommy Fuss Team 2025 Overnight Walk - NYC

It is nearly 19 years since we lost our beloved son and brother, Tommy Fuss, to suicide. He was only 17 years old and appeared to have everything to live for. But he was hiding an illness, a mental illness. We became aware, we tried to help him, but in a matter of six weeks he took his life. He is forever in my heart and always on my mind – for over 7,000 days.

2025 marks the 19th year that The Tommy Fuss Team will participate in the AFSP’s annual Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk. Each spring we have conversations with family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances --

Reminding them of the importance of mental health wellness for themselves and their loved ones.

Removing the stigmas associated with mental illness and suicide.

Raising funds for the important work of the AFSP – in areas of research, programming, and advocacy.

Remembering all those we have lost to suicide – those we know and all those whose names we will never know.

We do this in hopes of saving precious lives from this terrible consequence of mental illness. Please join us in this Journey of Hope, by making a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
