The Crew is made up of several hundred people working together to support the Overnight Walkers. As the backbone of the Overnight, the Crew is present for the entire night working along the Route. What you do on the Crew depends on your skills, interests, physical abilities and current Crew need. If you want to help and are willing to give your all, we've got a job for you!
The San Diego and Washington, D.C. Crew needs YOU. Register today to be assigned to one of these great Crew roles: Bike Support, Bus Liaisons, Ceremonies Medical, Participant Support, Quick Stops, Rest Stops, Route Marking: Fix-It & Clean-Up, Route Medical, and Sweep.
To take care of you with amenities like your event t-shirts, training, a personal webpage to use for fundraising, and a meal during the event, the registration fee for Crew is $50 (or $35 for full-time students & military). Crew members are not required to fundraise, but we highly encourage you to do so. As a member of the Overnight Crew, you'll have access to the same extensive network of fundraising support and tools used by the Walkers.
Review the Crew roles and select your top three preferences when you register.
Once you complete the registration, the Crew Coordinator will be in touch to discuss your Crew choices to get you assigned to your Crew Role and talk through next steps.
Two weeks prior to the Overnight, you'll attend the Virtual Crew Training by phone or computeer to help you prepare for the Overnight Walk and your Crew experience. On the Saturday of the Walk, there will be an All-Crew meeting to review the city specific details you’ll need to know.
