Despite the amazing work of the AFSP, there’s still such a stigma about depression and suicide that doesn’t exist for what the average person thinks of as “physical more than mental” illnesses. I keep raising money and walking The Overnight because we need to keep generating publicity and providing those at risk with greater and more visible avenues for help.
