2022 New York City Overnight

I found it extremely powerful to be surrounded by a community with similar experiences, all of us tackling an endurance event together as one.

Additionally, I was moved by the responsiveness of staff and volunteers to my parents, who are both in their 70s, and walked portions of the route. Participating in the walk in memory of my nephew, their grandson, was very important to them. And the caring, logistically organized folks who handled vehicles and rest areas were a godsend. Thank you!

The entire experience was something to remember. But for me the symbolism of walking all night in the darkness to make it to the light was just beautiful.
