Hi! I'm John, but you can call me JJK, John-John, or J-Rex.
I'm thrilled to be doing my 2nd "Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk" and my 5th walk overall to support the AFSP!
The work of the AFSP is near and dear to my heart. I have struggled with depression since the age of 11, and after several suicide attempts, or periods of seriously contemplation, between the ages of 12 - 21, I've decided to fight back. Each year, I walk to share my story, help support others, and do what I can to erase the stigma of suicide & depression.
Please consider supporting my walk and contribute to the AFSP!
I’m fundraising to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Net proceeds will help those affected by suicide and mental health conditions by supporting research, advocacy, survivor resources, education, and awareness programs. AFSP has set a bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by the year 2025, and I'm proud to be part of that mission.
Thank you for your support in a cause I believe in. Together we can save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
